Power Productions is one of Australia’s most diverse sports production companies. Established in 1995, we have offices based in Sydney, on the NSW Central Coast and in South East Queensland. We have produced shows for subscription television and/or free to air in some of the following categories:
NSW Cup Rugby League, GIO Schoolboys Rugby League Cup, Junior Rep Rugby League National Championships, the Chequered Flag Motorsport Show (screened on Fox Sports for 20 consecutive years), Australian Baseball League, Softball National Championships, Water Polo National League Finals Series, Jim Beam Cup Rugby League, Wheelchair Rugby National Championships, National Rodeo Championships, National Horse Cutting Championships, Boxing Fight Night, Muay Thai World Classic, Australian Karate Championships, Oz Tag State and National Championships, Wheelchair Rugby World Championship, Oz Tag World Cup, Rugby League Summertime (ran for 8 years on Fox Sports), The Bowls Show (SBS), the Australian Superbike Championship, Australian Supercross Championship, Speedway National Championships, in multiple categories, Australian Touch Football Championships, Bowls World Cup, Bowls Australian Open, Bowls Test Matches and the Ultimate Bowls Championship (Seven Network).
David Tapp, our Managing Director, is a well-known sports broadcaster in his own right. David started Power Productions to coincide with the launch of subscription TV services in Australia, in the mid 90s, and immediately began providing Fox Sports and Optus Vision with program content.
Power Productions’ core business is producing sports television shows – live or on delay – and providing world class live streaming services. We currently supply Fox Sports Australia, Fox Sports Asia, Sky Sports New Zealand, SBS, the Seven Network and Sky Racing with a plethora of content. Our current clients include the likes of Harness Racing NSW, Oz Tag Australia, Disability Sports Australia, Softball Australia, Bowls NSW, Bowls QLD, the Ultimate Bowls Championship, the New South Wales Rugby League, Rugby League World Cup, Touch Football NSW, Superfight (MMA) and the Oz Tag World Cup, just to name a few.
Power Productions televises live harness racing 4 to 5 days per week, at multiple venues, on Sky Racing, and in recent months we have also produced live TV coverage of the Asia Pacific Softball Cup, screened to 30 countries around the world. In late 2017, we were appointed as host broadcaster of the Women’s Rugby League World Cup. In total we produced some 32 hours of live rugby league content for the Seven Network in Australia and various networks around the world. In 2019 we facilitated live coverage to the world of the Gymnastics World Cup and Summer Slam Softball series.
